Bryker Woods is a long time popular area in North Central Austin. Often blending with Rosedale, the area is known as the home of the original Kerbey Lane Diner, Central Market and the Hospital District. The area is very convenient to downtown Austin and University of Texas campus. In addition to the great dining in the area, their is a big variety for shopping. From local clothing boutique to vintage furniture shops.

Bryker Woods and Rosedale are a personal favorite of mine. The area has been home to me for several years and I consider it a real treat. I love the convenience factor. So close to everything! The area has some amazing parks and trails and the neighborhoods are quite scenic, which makes walking and biking a real pleasure.

Bryker Woods Community Features
Both Bryker Woods and Rosedale are very active communities. A central feature of the area is the Shoal Creek park. Shoal Creek park is one of my favorite parks for walking, biking and just hanging out and reading. A popular past time in the park is also Frisbee golf. Even in the hottest weather or rainiest of days you’ll see residents running, walking, walking their dogs or biking around the area.
Many residents of this area choose to use the Capital Metro bus line as their mode of transportation. The area has many bus stops making this a possibility to those that live in the area.
There are a variety of home styles in this community. From the historical bungalow to the updated modern. But the primary characteristic is the cottage style homes with great porches and beautiful landscaping.
