And they were successful in their goal Since then it has been absorbed by Austin and is a prime South West shopping area – home to such shopping hot spots and Ulta, DSW and World Market. However, it is technically still Sunset Valley Texas – it’s legally absorbed by Austin but is a separate town with it’s own municipality, laws and officials.
